Civil Engineer (Design)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. This role plays a key part in delivering complex civil engineering projects across Ireland, contributing to our client's commitment to Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity in everything we do.  This is a Hybrid role and can be based in either Maynooth or Galway.

Specific Skills
Required Skills:
  • A Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience preparing civil infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • A practical, open-minded, hands-on approach and a desire to deliver work right first time.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating accountability
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Responsible For
The Role
  • As a Civil Engineer, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary design team to develop accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings in support of thent.  You will contribute to projects that reflect our client’s commitment to safe, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. 
Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior design engineers in delivering civil engineering infrastructure designs, including water, wastewater, roads, and concrete structures.

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Prepare construction-ready plans, layouts, sections, setting-out information and detailed drawings.

  • Apply sound understanding of civil engineering design principles while seeking opportunities to innovate and improve.

  • Ensure all models and documentation comply with company BIM standards, protocols, and procedures.

  • Maintain drawing registers and manage drawing revisions with accuracy

  • Participate actively in design reviews, contributing positively to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

  • Assist in preparing technical design reports and supporting documentation.
